Setting up ESP12E NodeMCU on Breadboard with LED

In this tutorial, we are going to setup ESP12E NodeMCU on breadboard and control LED connected to it using an HTML webpage. We can control the LED from the same network Where the NodeMCU and the laptop are connected. If you are seeing this tutorial, then I would recommend you to start from beginning here "Controlling Esp12E NodeMCU with LED from website (local network)". Else you can begin with the tutorial. So I hope that you have bill of materials ready with you. Lets start:

Keep this circuit diagram handy. Compare it with your breadboard circuit which you will making to avoid any mistakes.

Now follow the below instructions:

  1. Connect first LED to Pin "D1" of ESP12E NodeMCU board such that the positive terminal is connected to D1 and negative terminal of LED is connected to GND.
  1. Now Connect first LED to Pin "D2" of ESP12E NodeMCU board such that the positive terminal is connected to D2 and negative terminal of LED is connected to GND.
  2. Similarly Connect first LED to Pin "D3" of ESP12E NodeMCU board such that the positive terminal is connected to D3 and negative terminal of LED is connected to GND.

See the below image for reference.

And you are done. In the next chapter, we will program it and test it from the chrome browser by controlling the LED. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
