Controlling Esp12E NodeMCU with LED from website using thingspeak from anywhere in the world

Introduction

In this tutorial, we are going to Control ESP12E from thingspeak using web page. we are going to control "three LEDs" connected to our ESP12E NodeMCU Wifi Development Board from a web application. It is slightly different from the previous tutorial as we will be making it in such a way that we can control the LED from anywhere in the world.

Details

For this tutorial, we will also be using the thingspeak server to store the data for our LED. This data is basically the commands for led. Like for LED1 , 1 represents on and 0 will represent off. We will create a web app with three buttons for three leds for turning it on and off. We will see step wise process along with source code for the implementation and then you will be able to Control ESP12E from thingspeak using web page . Note that the web app which we will make can control your LED of  ESP12E NodeMCU Wifi Development Board through global network. That means that your ESP12E module can be controlled from anywhere in the world. So lets begin.

)

You will need following bill of material for this experiment:

  • Half Size Breadboard - 1
  • ESP12E (Node MCU) Development Board- 1
  • Micro USB Cable - 1

If you don't have the components, you can buy it from the below links (Most of the general components like LED and wire, you can easily get from local market. I am just listing out the important and specific components). So you will need the following BOM for Control ESP12E from thingspeak using web page.

For USA

Half Size Breadboard :Solderless Breadboard with 400 Tie-Point (White)
Micro USB Cable : Universal Micro USB Flat Data Cable -Rock Original-Grey
ESP12E Node MCU development Board : ESP12E Node MCU development Board

For India

Half Size Breadboard :Solderless Breadboard with 400 Tie-Point (White)
Micro USB Cable : Universal Micro USB Flat Data Cable -Rock Original-Grey
ESP12E Node MCU development Board : ESP12E Node MCU development Board
